Today I am grateful for:

A drizzly day. No real amount of water, but moist. I'm a little concerned that the forecast suggests we might be getting torrential rain. Not sure why we have to have such extremes.

My sweetie worked some more on insulating the upstairs, and ran a wire that will be for the permanent smoke detectors (won't use batteries).

I went to see River, and this kind of weather suits him. Cool and a bit rainy. His breathing and energy were good.

We are still not nailing the "figure 8" lunging pattern, not sure how to approach this. He did well with other ground work, and was giving well at the shoulder in our ridden spirals.

Turns out we got a 2nd place in pole bending for a little video show from last month, which is a bit funny because River was pretty pokey that day, but he WAS efficient and consistent so that likely is how we made decent time (trot only). We got 7th in the "equestrian pattern" which was fairly simple, but there were lots of entries in that class so we did well to place 7th.

I came home and we watched "The Way Back" (Ben Affleck, basketball coach movie) which was good, but pretty formulaic.
