Today I am grateful for:

I lovely sunny day, not too hot.

I went to one neighbor's yard, and it is not their cat. We talked for a while, and there is a LOT going on in their lives. We don't really talk to these people much, but we're on good terms. I probably haven't talked to them in over a year. It sounds like there's a lot of health issues going on for them, and a lot of issues with the house they are renting, and a lot of other issues with the land lord trying to get working appliances, and black mold, and so on. I'm not even sure why they are bothering to stay if it's so bad, but I think it's either that they were getting very cheap rent, or they just really like living in the country (they are renting a house on a big yard, with a big shop).

They apparently haven't had a working stove for a while, so we gave them our old stove from the trailer we tore down. It still works just fine, it's just that the house we bought came with it's own stove that we've been using. We were going to donate the old stove to Habitat for Humanity, but donating it to our neighbors is just as good.

I went to town to get more medicine for Fatty, and I also went to the video store and got some newer movies to watch. I went into Winner's and got a bit of makeup (not that I end up wearing it much).

Then I got groceries, and I am always very grateful for food and the means to buy it and transport it home.

I came home and picked a TON of beans out of the garden. A mix of yellow, green, and red runner beans. I filled a three gallon pail. My sweetie and I had some for supper, and froze the rest.

We cleaned up the addition (it's closed in now) and I can isolate that part of the house, so we moved the new kitty there for now. We will work on shots and then meet and greet gradually.

We watched "The Mauritanian", and it was very good, though it leaves you with that helpless feeling that happens when you learn about terrible injustice, but don't have a meaningful way to address it other than just not looking away.
