Today I am grateful for:

Clouds, so maybe some rain.

My sweetie making more progress.

I worked on getting sand "grout" (it's just sand) for the brick walkway. Basically you sweep sand around so that it fills the space between the bricks. Then you hose it down so the sand settles in, and at some point I'll sweep more sand over it. Having sand between the bricks just prevents normal soil from getting in there, so hopefully less weeds.

I had my lesson with River today, instead of tomorrow (R wants to attend a clinic tomorrow). It was a good lesson, and we worked on "the draw"; basically bringing the horse to us, and softening the body. Hard to explain. We did a short bit as a ridden segment, to see how we're doing with staying soft in the shoulders and poll for self-carriage, and she felt like we were making good progress.

I came home and spent some time with the new kitty and getting used to Roxy. The new cat is relaxing a lot more around Roxy. I really want to get them comfortable with each other before I even start with getting him used to the other cats. We have lots of time, might as well do it right.
