Oct. 6th, 2021 02:49 amToday I am grateful for:
The furnace guy came back today, and I showed him where we are at with the addition. We need him to put in some more ducts and vents before we can put up drywall.
It was a strange, smokey, overcast day today. It makes me sad to think of how many forest fires have been burning this year. We still haven't had rain here again in the last month or so.
I met a person selling a box of Terry Pratchett books, and though I have read many of them, there are some I haven't read, and many that I haven't read in a long time. It will be nice to read them in the best order, since I have them all on hand.
Roxy and I went for a walk at a little park near town. The one that still has the little farm yard still, like the owners are still there almost. It's a funny feeling, like you've gone back in time to maybe 1950 or so. Those people donated their property to be a recreation area.
I went to see River, and that went well. His nose seems okay; no bleeding or swelling. He seemed kind of distracted tonight, and I'm not sure what's up with that.
We have to stick with the riding schedule because of Covid, and all of my riding times are in the evening. It was okay in the summer, but now it's a bit of a downer because it's always going to be dark when I ride. I can ride indoors, and I likely would anyways once it gets cold, but it feels a little sad to be there at night, and often by myself. I see others in passing, but this summer it was nice because I would see more people around. Funny how 8 pm in the summer doesn't seem late, but it feels late in October.
I watched "Harlem Nights"' and that was okay.
