Nov. 5th, 2021 12:53 amToday I am grateful for:
Last night when I went to do chores I saw the most amazing Northern Lights. The whole sky was lit, and they were flashing and moving like waves. I have only seen them this way maybe twice before.
I got in to see the dentist on fairly short notice. My sweetie said he wanted me to go in so he could use up coverage we had, and to plan for next year in case we needed more work done soon.
I was lucky in getting the "nice"' hygienist who is reasonably gentle. They have one (not sure honestly if she's still there) who was trained in some kind of super violent school of dentistry.
I also got a very gentle dentist (I am not sure how this place works, but it is a dental group and I'm not even clear who the dentists are. It's very strange, and maybe I should care more, but they've always done a good job.)
All I got done was to fill a few small spots where I've had chips on my front teeth, one on top, a couple on the bottom. The kind of chips that just happen as teeth get older. I didn't even need anesthetic. Apparently my teeth are overall in decent shape and I'm not getting a lot of plaque build up either. I will chalk this up to giving up sugar, because I used to have a lot of plaque, and lots of cavities.
Though they may chip again, it's nice to feel smooth spots where there used to be some sharp spots.
I went to the lady's house to donate the fabric, and it was very close to the dental clinic. I dropped it off, as she was still at work. She texted me that she thought it was great fabric. I hope she can make good use of it.
I also took a few things to the thrift store to donate. Don't congratulate me too much, I bought stuff too! I had lots of time, so I browsed to my heart's content. I found a giant bean bag that will hopefully be useful somewhere.
I also got some groceries. My sweetie also picked up more of that cat food on his way home.
My sweetie also donated blood on his way home (he has to drive through the city).
We watched the first two episodes of Loki, and I'm not really following it that well. It is an interesting premise, but SO MUCH EXPLANATION! Ten minute stretches of someone talking almost like a lecture. Lots of using footage from the Marvel movies to try and explain why Loki is in his current situation, lots of stuff that is recycled from the Marvel movies. It doesn't have any of the same feel as the Marvel movies. I can try to enjoy it as something very different.
