Nov. 13th, 2021 03:37 amToday I am grateful for:
A short phone conversation with my Mom, and Trainwreck sister (she was in the room with Mom).
I was able to go to the riding barn at an earlier time, which should be my "new time" for Fridays. It was nice not to have to sit around all day until 8 pm. It was still a bit light when I went, and I got to see people on my way out.
River did well today, he was a little distracted because he should have been getting fed, but he got fed when we were done. He behaved well, and I did at least feed him his mash stuff first so he wasn't empty. Horses are no different from any other animal, they know *what time* it is when it comes to food.
I brought the little leather pouch I made for R (complicated feelings about leather, but I am just using what I had from way before I became a vegetarian). She asked me to make something for her daughter (I gave R a leather pouch for Christmas last year, and she and her daughter both liked it, so R wanted me to make something for her daughter this year).
I came home and had a nice nap.
Then I watched some Breaking Bad, while working on some hemming. One of our friends who helps with the house stuff asked if I would hem the sleeves on some dress/work shirts he wanted to convert from long sleeves to short sleeves. I have to say it's taken me forever to do it, but to be fair it was SIX shirts. I finished the last two up tonight just so it's not unfinished business anymore.
I'm always grateful for the animals, and all the kitty snuggles, and Roxy's company.
