Today I am grateful for:

Reasonable weather for November.

Getting in to town to get food things mostly for us and creatures.

I couldn't get the mail because the office was closed for renovations.

I did meet someone selling three brass elephant bells. I collect brass bells. They are very nice, the one is HUGE!

I got senior feed for one of my mares, frozen cat food, and groceries for us.

I also had to go to the pharmacy, and find decorative craft tape at Michael's for Christmas card making.

I ended up getting trapped in town for a while. I was in the general vicinity of the Christmas parade, and when I tried to leave the area from the pharmacy, all of the roads were blockaded off. Good thing I didn't NEED to leave. I found out that the parade would be in...about an hour. So I sat in the car. Then the parade was late starting.

Anyhow, it was fun to see the parade. There were even horses! Unbelievable! Likely a thousand people lining that street, waving light sabres (this is a thing now?) and yelling, and the parade vehicles honking their horns. Amazing animals. They were something called "The Edmonton Sheriff's Posse", which has nothing to do with police. Just apparently a group of people who ride together, and go to parades.

I even sat in my car for about another 15 minutes after the parade to let some of the congestion abate, but the road to leave town was still packed.
