Today I am grateful for:

More very summery weather.

I put more frozen raspberries into freezer bags, and put the ones that were in the fridge into the freezer on cookie trays.

I went to see River. He seemed less stiff today.

It was lesson day, and we worked on things for our liberty freestyle mostly.

In our ridden work, we got our canter lead this time, and then worked on spirals in and out at both the trot and the canter.

He did really well at the canter today, and at short intervals actually collected himself up nicely.

Then I visited with the parent of another rider. They brought a nice paint (? very quarter horse build and solid color, as happens sometimes with paint horses) for training with R, and they had a lesson today.

I thought this horse showed a very quiet, willing demeanor for a horse with maybe not a lot of training.

I came home and let everyone out, and had to do some repairs on the goat creep fence because the ponies have been rubbing on it so much that it came apart. The mosquitoes have been really bad lately.

I learned that Leo Fender, creator of the coveted Fender guitar, could not play one.
