Jun. 30th, 2025 12:23 amToday I am grateful for:
Good sleep.
A lazy start to the day.
Beautiful weather.
Today my Sweetie and I emptied out the quonset beside the garage, which wasn't too bad. Then he disconnected the frame from the pilings that hold it to the ground. Then we moved the frame off of the area.
A friend of ours wants the frame.
So, this means that my Sweetie can pour the additional concrete pilings that the county says we need for the car port.
Then we pulled weeds in the garden for quite some time. The garden has been planted for three weeks now, and so much of it is just barely starting to come up now. Sigh. Hopefully it will catch up now that we've had rain.
Then I went to the barn to see River.
He was a bit sore on one leg, hopefully just stiff, but I didn't want to push him at all.
I truly did almost nothing with him, some walking, but I did practice standing on him outside, and tossing the umbrella and jacket.
I did see L today, who said she's been practicing her own freestyle.
During this time, my Sweetie went for a bike ride. He has another big MS ride coming up later this year, and he needs to be FIT for that one.
We both came home, and let everyone out into their bigger pastures (Wonder seems a lot more comfortable today, but I'm leaving the protective boot on for a while).
We sat on our swing and had another little fire in the fire box.
My Sweetie talked with his parents today. They have been trying to sell their cabin for over a year now, and they haven't had much interest because the cabin is on the "less popular" part of the lake, and it's older.
They finally sold it, and it's sad that this part of their life is finished. They have had the cabin for about 25 years, and they spent a lot of their summers there.
