gottawonderA pleasantly warm day. Apparently it rained where most of my family lives, which is great because they are VERY dry this year. Hopefully we get some rain too.
A good phone conversation with my Mom, and with my Trainwreck sister.
Shaken a bit by the news that a cousin of ours, even though we aren't close, is having a lot of trouble swallowing because of Rheumatoid Arthritis (which can mean inflammation in surprising ways). She will likely need a feeding tube for the rest of her life now. While it seems horrible and unfair, the flip side of this is that at least we live in an age where this is possible.
A good riding lesson with River. We worked on the stuff from last week, which seems to be going well. Then we learned the second half of the pattern we might do in another video competition. River did well in giving at the poll (vertical flexion) and shoulders, and not putting his head up during transitions. The spirals are helping.
A good talk with the vet who is a client at the barn, about some options for my old mare at home who needs some dental work.
I came home and we watched "Clear and Present Danger" which is an older movie but pretty good.
