/Today I am grateful for:

Sunshine, and nice temperatures.

Going to the city with my sweetie.

We picked up what he needed from Princess Auto, then we made it to the pottery supply store. They actually had ALL the glazes I was hoping to find!! Hopefully some pretty pieces in the near future! We also made it to the Re-Store shop, where I found a big plastic salad bowl that the cats might like.

Then, we were able to get to the Natural History museum to see their new "Viking" installation. It's in the part of the museum that will host new stuff all the time on rotation. It was really good, and had a giant re=creation of a ship based on some discovered remnants, and lots of artifacts like swords and coins. You could even try on Viking clothing and take a picture. We didn't because it was super busy, but I looked at some of it, and I bet I could make something like that. The tunics would be totally wearable in real life, and the women's dresses were very much like old-fashioned night gowns.

Then we caught an art supply store right before closing, and I found the hake brushes I wanted for watercolors.

We went for supper, and while that was kind of a debacle, I have to be so grateful for my husband being kind and supportive of me, not critical at all. I was also grateful for the kind server we had, who was likely really confused over why I was upset (I am trying to eat low glycemic, and the meal turned out to be a bowl of pasta that I couldn't eat, so I just ate my husband's veggies). The server made a genuine effort to connect with us, and I appreciate his efforts.

We went for a nice walk along the river in the city, with Roxy, and that turned out to be a lot of fun.

We picked up some groceries, and I got the makings for a salad similar to what the restaurant had that I liked, and somehow getting groceries was fun too, and even looking for low glycemic food felt like an adventure.

Coming home and making that salad, and it was really good. I forgot that I like gorgonzola cheese.
