Today I am grateful for:

First, not so much grateful....having kind of a sucky time ordering checks (yes, I still seem to write one or two checks per month) and not getting a lot of help from the bank we do business with. Basically, you order checks by phoning a robot, and go through their system. What annoyed me, is that at no point did they tell me how much the checks were going to cost. It's set up so it comes out of our account automatically when you use this service, but why not tell you the price?

So I tried to complain to the bank via phone, which also sucked.

SO I finally went to our local branch since we were going that way today, and bitched at people there. They smiled and made condescending noises at me, and even THEY couldn't tell me how much the checks would cost, even though the service is done through their bank. I felt honestly pissed off at the whole thing, because of course my very valid complaint was just going to be dismissed. Really, why should we just accept that the checks will "cost something, I guess you'll find out later" as an adequate response?

A nice day in the city with my sweetie.

We went to the Rock and Gem show, that is more or less annual (with covid interruptions). We decided to wear masks anyhow, since the numbers have been higher again. Though, I suppose the masks don't protect US.

I did get some beads, but I didn't overspend. I set a limit going in and stuck to it.

I enjoyed just looking at all the shinyness.

Then we had a nice meal at our happy vegan place that we go to when it's open. It's double nice because it's run by people who do animal rescue, and I think some of the money from the restaurant goes towards that.
