Sep. 25th, 2021 12:04 amAnother nice, sunny day. Very warm for this time of year.
For now, my husband and I have worked out a truce about his parents. I agreed they could come for a short visit, NOT OVERNIGHT, and if I need to correct them if they start pushing my boundaries, I expect his support. That's the only way this will work. He feels that this might be the last chance ever for his Mom to see our house progress, and he might be right. Her Dementia has progressed a lot.
A phone call with Train Wreck sister, who was sympathetic to my feelings about my husband's parents coming. I think both of us have had enough of creepy old men thinking they can get away with making people uncomfortable.
The farrier came, and everyone behaved pretty well. I am glad we were able to do a decent job on Hollywood. She's old, and has arthritis, so sometimes she can't stand on three legs for very long. I very much appreciate our farrier's patience and kindness towards my little bunch.
Jones has been playing with Hans the last couple of days. This makes me happy, that they are all getting along fairly well. It can be tricky bringing in a new cat. Hans also sleeps on the bed with everyone else too.
We pulled nails most of the afternoon, and finished the floor boards salvaged from an old house that we hope to use in the addition.
I went to see River, and that was nice. We worked in the indoor arena while R worked with another horse. It means a lot to me to be able to do this, and to work with R.
