gottawonderToday I am grateful for:
A fairly warm, sunny day.
Going to town and running a lot of important errands. Mostly to do with animal stuff we need for winter, food, litter, that kind of thing.
I went to the thrift store, and found a nice set of dishes that my sweetie can take to his work apartment that he shares with two other guys. We also dug through bins of cutlery and managed to find a set (they seem to just throw all of it into a bin, which means they likely sell very little of it).
I found some dvds, and two nice silver necklaces. I am often surprised at the nice jewelry they get at thrift stores, and pretty reasonably priced.
We had a burrito in town, which is getting to feel like a rare occurrence. I probably eat out less than once a month these days.
I went to see River, and that was nice. R worked with a young horse while I was riding River, and River helped keep the young horse calm. It was nice chatting with R about horse stuff, and things we might work on soon. I feel a little odd because of how things went with the group lesson, but I don't know how to air that out without risking fallout. I know that in the grand scheme of things, her paying more attention to the other rider isn't THAT big a deal, but it mattered to me.
River did really well. I did a little bit of ground work without using the halter, and he is willing to trot with me and I could even lunge him without a lead line. We more or less did the last pattern we were practicing for lead line only without the lead line. This is pretty exciting, because that is actual liberty work. Very much on a beginner level, but still.
We watched "The Last Vermeer"', and that was a pretty good movie.
