Jan. 7th, 2022 04:20 amToday I am grateful for:
That my trip to town was successful. In this cold, I didn't WANT to go, but I needed to go.
I got Jones's special cat food, and meds for Fatty.
Then I got groceries, and I am always grateful for that.
There was a teeny, tiny little new baby in the grocery store, screaming like crazy, but somehow still wonderful. No one seemed to mind that it was crying.
I got home and was kind of wiped out from the trip to town and just the effort of doing chores first, and checking the tire pressure and such. So I had a nap.
Then I decided to watch the last movie in LOTR, since I had watched the first two a few weeks ago. It really is an amazing trilogy, and the last movie was very moving. I have watched the whole thing a few times now, and every time I am blown away by the sheer massive scale of these movies, and how well they tell the story from the books. I wonder what Tolkien would have made of it all.
Sooner or later this cold snap has to end, so I just keep getting up and taking care of what I can.
