Today I am grateful for:

A very warm and sunny day for January. It felt wonderful.

The drywall guy was here for a little while working.

I cleaned out the water pail for the goats/ponies and picked up some of the manure that I ignored over the past week.

I went to see River, and that was nice. R was there working another horse. River was focused and we had a good session. I finally got to ride for the first time in a while. I think I rode once in the last two weeks or so, because it was just too cold. I mostly did ground work.

As far as I know, my Trainwreck sister finally got that car from her son. I have been messaging him, and he says she has it now. Hopefully it is a good car for her, and will at least give her some safety now.

I talked to my sister E's husband since she was busy. I have mentioned this before, but I like talking with him. He is a photographer (electrician by trade, but also photography and filming) as a hobby that is sometimes a paid job. He is translating that into filming using drones, and hopes to do work for films since there are so many being made in his area now. He talks about ideas and interesting things (so does my sister E), and in the last few years I've been making a point of calling them, since I talk to Mom less and less. I want to build better connections with family if possible.

I tried to nap when I came home from the barn, but the cats made it tough. They were howling to be fed even though it was about three hours early. They do this, and it can be frustrating. I feed them LOTS, and they are all a good weight.

Interesting thing I learned: That the Latin word for sand is "arena". The Colosseum was the first known "arena".
