Feb. 13th, 2022 12:45 amToday I am grateful for:
Reasonable weather.
My sweetie and I decided to go to the city for the day. Nice to get out.
We picked up a new rain sheet for River. He will need it this spring. His old one is pretty much finished.
My husband finally found the air nailer he needs to do the floor in the addition (he salvaged fir flooring from a house being demolished). He figures it is still cheaper than renting it, and at the end we still have the nailer to sell if we want to. It's specific to nails for floors, so unfortunately it can't be used for other applications.
We found some books at various places.
My sweetie found a proper garbage bin for his work apartment.
We came home and watched "The Banker" which was pretty good.
From the movie we watched, I learned that most banks before about 1970 would not loan money to black people to buy a home or a business, keeping them poor.
I learned from a podcast about camel trekking in the Gobi desert. I suppose I knew that part of the Gobi desert was in Mogolia, and that it could be cold there, but I never knew HOW cold. It gets -30C cold, which is hard to imagine with a desert. Hard to think of sand dunes and -30C.
