Today I am grateful for:

That even though it was pretty cold today, it was sunny, and that helps a bit.

I got done the extra stuff that needs to be done when we get a cold snap, like extra blankets and moving the goats to the garage, that kind of thing.

I went to pottery, even though everyone else was already gone. I don't know what it is with this group, but everyone comes in early in the afternoon and is gone by about 4 pm. Our class is actually supposed to happen from 7pm to 9 pm, and even though it is understood that you can come early, NO ONE is there after five?

I was fine working by myself. I used to work by myself sometimes in the other studio too. One thing I like less about this new location though, is there is NO ONE walking around doing security or janitorial work. I've never seen any employees around in the evening (It is a senior's residence, and the Craft Center is using space on the third floor that wasn't being used anymore). You would think there would be...some kind of security? The former location had at least custodial staff walking around at night.

I just made sure my husband knew where I was, and I had a check in time.

I made one maybe vase and one maybe bowl, and that's it. That's okay.

I got groceries, and I am always grateful for having the means to get food.

I learned that astronauts have to anchor their sleeping bags near ventilation, because if the air is not kept moving right at their heads, carbon dioxide from their own exhalations can just sit around their head as they are sleeping, and it doesn't go anywhere, and it could kill them.
