Mar. 24th, 2022 12:55 amToday I am grateful for:
More warm weather.
Not under Gratitude: just constantly angry about the house these days. I know it isn't healthy, but we have SO MUCH to do on the house. We wouldn't get done this year even if we pushed hard, but we are doing nothing. I had hoped to be able to use the mudroom by now, and have the bedroom ready to move into.
I do not know how to make progress happen on the house.
The carpenter texted back to say that he is very busy and we should try to find someone else. You know, if it is so damn hard to find a good carpenter, why aren't there more of them? It seems like you could work as much as you want if you are a trades person who works on houses, and you can charge the world for your work.
I went to the barn for a riding lesson with River, and that went well. We did great on our groundwork, got a little homework, and then worked more on getting him to halt and transition in his gaits off of my seat entirely. R says I am doing a lot better with my communication in Liberty, in how I hold my body and the whip (as an extension of my arm).
Once again, I feel like I was just worn out from being angry about the house, so I just came home and napped.
Today I learned that the 'snow' used in the original "Wizard of Oz" was asbestos. The studio thought it was a lot safer than some of the other materials studios used, such as cotton fluff, which was flammable.

Date: 2022-03-25 05:19 am (UTC)Napping is the secret no one knows about - it resets your day. A friend once told me that on bad days if I could, nap... until the sun is shining, the skies are blue, and the birds are singing... and if you wake up and they are not, go back to sleep for 20 minutes more!!! lol
Take care <3
