Today I am grateful for:

Getting River and his friend fed.

Being useful. I was able to help several people at the barn today, and I think I needed to be useful for them. It helped me feel like there was something in my control, and that my reaction to the chaos of life would be to still try to help others.

Some time in the pottery studio. I got lots of glazing done, and I think my repairs to some mug handles are doing well. They might stay on. My sweetie was at pottery briefly, just long enough to glaze his mugs.

My sweetie brought home more useful material from the job site that just wrapped up (things that would otherwise be garbage to the company).

A woman from pottery that seemed pretty hostile when I joined this class seemed a lot more human today, talking about some of her life challenges about 15 years ago. She comes across as someone who has money, and you'd think she's always had lots of it, so it was surprising to hear that this is not so. I feel honored that she would talk about her life this way.
