Today I am grateful for:

Not too cold today, though wet snow fell again.

I got the jacket back on Brownie. She has become very wary of me trying to catch her, and I have to hold her with one hand and put the jacket on with the other.

The second contractor did make it today, and met with my husband. So, now we wait and see what their estimates are like.

I made a birthday card for my Mom last night, and mailed it today.

I went to town for pottery, in spite of the wet snow. I ended up going for a small amount of groceries, since I was already in town. Mainly just for trail mix, which I eat a lot of and somehow neglected to get last time.

I talked to one woman at pottery for awhile before she left. It sounds like her husband is having a lot of health issues, mainly with being able to breathe, and THEIR house still needs work, mostly in the basement, and she thinks they will need to hire help around their property because they have a lot of mowing and weeding. She too, is trying to convince her husband that it is okay to hire other people sometimes.

I then spent most of my time at pottery putting an under glaze design on a vase. I am trying to make it kind of a tropical fish motif. I hope it doesn't come out looking too cartoon-ish.

The roads were fine coming home, which is good. I was concerned that maybe they would be slushy/icy.

Today I learned that dingoes are actually a feral dog, not a wild breed. They are thought to have been introduced to Australia some four thousand years ago probably by Asian sea farers.
