Mar. 29th, 2022 11:48 pmToday I am grateful for:
Lovely day, weather-wise. Sunny.
A short phone conversation with Trainwreck sister. She is planning to get her van working so she can return the car she's been using to her son. She seems okay. She sent a picture of one of her adult kids with Mom at the care home. Apparently the burning need to take Mom out for a road trip has ebbed.
I went to see River, and that went well. R had set up all kinds of obstacles in the arena, so I'm guessing this is the new challenge for everyone. We practiced them for a while. He was comfortable around them, but he's not walking through/over them smoothly. He doesn't always pick up his hind feet enough, so he's kind of clumsy over some things. Yes, I've worked him over poles.
He got fairly distracted when R came out and started bringing horses into the barn, but we worked through that and got our riding done. I'm trying to get him to canter a little more forward without losing the calmness.
I came home and had a nap.
I learned that Alexander the Great had a half=sister, Cynane, who was a great warrior and led armies into battle.
