May. 9th, 2019 02:42 amMy husband really doing a lot of inquiring and investigating towards the goal of house changing/building.
A good riding lesson on River. More and more, we are getting to better levels of collection, for longer stretches of time. River is also really building muscle right now, with the food being better, and warmer weather not sapping all his calories. He looks nice and round in the butt.
Lots of good socializing with others at the barn.
A bit of rain, which we really need. In some places near here there was lots of rain, which is good for starting the hay and crops.
Coming home and having a bit of quiet time, and walking with my sweetie and Roxy around the horse pasture.
Getting a lot of cleaning done, since my sweetie's parents are coming tomorrow. I really hadn't done a lot of cleaning this past week or so, like I normally would when anticipating guests, and some of that is because there's just been so much going on. It's always amazing how clean I can get this place when someone is coming to visit. Somehow, I can manage put everything away, even if it is just putting it in the catch-all room "for now", and vacuuming up all the cat hair. It looks empty! I don't know why I can't maintain it at this level. It would be so nice to live like this all the time.
What gets to me, is that it's not like I don't clean. I feel like I sweep a lot, but that never gets all the cat hair out from under and behind everything the way that picking it all up and vacuuming does. I do clean the bathroom pretty thoroughly every couple of weeks, with tidying in between. I do laundry a lot. I guess I just don't have all of it clean at once?
I'm grateful that my sweetie cleaned the bathroom, and did a lot to help me clean up our giant pile of papers that fills a basket. We end up going through the whole thing about twice a year, and organize and file and toss what we don't need.
I'm grateful to be physically able to do this kind of work.
