Apr. 8th, 2022 02:33 amToday I am grateful for:
Beautiful weather today. Sunny and warm, so much of the snow has melted this week.
My Sweetie got home from work today. We spent some time sitting with the goats and ponies in their bigger pasture. They had lots of fun running around and bucking. The goats rear up and play fight when they are having fun.
He at least made an effort to sort out the septic tank, but the floats keep tangling up and the alarm goes off again because if the floats are tangled they don't make the pump work. So, a work in progress.
We went to the park down the road for a walk, which was wonderful. Roxy is good and tuckered out. We saw a moose that was not that willing to walk away from us, so we just went the other way, and gave it a wide berth.
We came home and watched "Prisoners" which just felt too long and not all that thrilling. Great cast, though.
I learned that "urchin" is the original name for what is now known as a hedgehog. Thus "street urchins" are "street hedgehogs", and sea urchins, because of their spiny exterior, were named for hedgehogs.
