Apr. 8th, 2022 11:56 pmToday I am grateful for:
VERY warm weather for this time of year.
We got some drywall pieces out of the basement and into the back of the truck. They were odd sizes etc. We also put household garbage, and all kinds of things into the truck, to go to the dump tomorrow. It really didn't take long, lots of stuff ready to go.
We went to see River, and the wind was really nuts. I wasn't sure if I would ride or not, but River seemed calm enough, so I figured I would at least do our ground work and see if the wind let up a bit.
He did really well on the ground work/Liberty, in spite of the wind rattling the fabric of the arena cover. I chose to ride, and he did fine with that too.
We came home and watched "My Super Ex Girlfriend", which was fun.
I learned today that cats may have been spread around the world by sea farers, since there has long been a tradition of having ship's cats to control rodents and to bring good luck. First domesticated in the Middle East, then Egypt, and almost at the same time China, cats were taken with them wherever they went.
Cats were brought to Britain by Romans, likely, and to North America by colonists, and to Australia.
