Today I am grateful for:

Okay weather. We keep getting a little snow, and then it melts.

I don''t do much for Easter, but I acknowledge Spring renewal.

I went to see River, and that was nice. I was feeling a little sad that on holidays like this, I don't have anyone to have supper with, but the other rider was there today, and I really enjoyed talking with her while we tacked up and rode etc.

I tried to put a lot of energy into our ground work today, because River often is kind of lazy in keeping a good pace at the walk and trot, and just slow moving in general when he is perfectly capable of being more responsive.

Our ridden work was good. I did more moving him with my seat.

At home I did more laundry and folding/putting away.

I made two more bracelets.

I watched another episode of Gotham.

I learned that there is evidence of human habitation of Australia by the Aboriginal people dating to 65.000 years ago: Aboriginal people are known to have occupied mainland Australia for at least 65,000 years. It is widely accepted that this predates the human settlement of Europe and the Americas.

That article just blows my mind. Time is something that consistently astounds me. How do you find all of these facts? Are you browsing or do you read in specific topic areas?

I usually go to Reddit, and they have a thread called "Today I learned", or I just randomly type in "Interesting facts", or I scroll around on Wikipedia. There are lots of places that post trivia.

I have always enjoyed learning random things, and sometimes they turn into more developed ideas that help me connect the dots, like stuff about the wars and so on that occasionally one new fact leads to a better understanding of events.

I make a point of it.
