Today I am grateful for:

That today's downpour still didn't keep me from going to a riding lesson.

We worked on trying to film the Liberty pattern, and finally got something.

I also did some riding in our lesson using only the neck rope. We did pretty well.

I came home and let everyone out for a little while, then groomed Wonder's beautiful thick mane, and Dandy's. Both of them have a crazy amount of hair.

I did pull some weeds for a while too, though the whole garden is so muddy that it isn't easy to go in it right now.

Other than that, I really didn't do anything today. I has been raining so much that I haven't been doing a lot outside.

Today I learned that skunks are immune to snake venom, and will kill and eat venomous snakes. Now, I am going to also assume that they are only immune to venomous snakes native to their own area of the world. Like, I don't know if a skunk would be immune to a cobra bite.

Skunks have some distinct advantages. They are omnivores, the spray thing means that they only thing that eats them are owls, which have no sense of smell. They can hibernate. The ones I've seen seem pretty carefree.
