Today I am grateful for:

Another hot, dry day. Great for everyone making hay right now.

Well, another day of my Sweetie being gone most of the day. Today he drove to the city to help out that guy again with his garage.

At first, my husband said he was just going to drop off the big window (left from our own trailer tear-down) at this guy's house, but I said he should do his best to get it installed, otherwise he would just end up being asked by this guy to come help install the window another day. I figured that if he had to drive to the city to drop off that window, at least try to make it worthwhile.

So that's what they ended up doing.

Not much got done at our house, except for me pulling a ton of weeds. I pulled weeds for a couple of hours.

At least we did go for a walk at the park down the road, which wasn't terribly pleasant because of how bad the mosquitoes are right now, but it's still nice to see all the ducks and their babies.

Then we watched more of "The Boys".

I learned that an albatross barely needs to flap it's wings at all while flying across the ocean. It uses "dynamic soaring" and "slope soaring" to carve through the air, gaining velocity from wind gradients. It can cover almost 1,000km (620 miles) every day, all without a single wing-flap.

This conserves a great deal of energy.

Hot and dry here, too. What kind of weeds are you pulling? I spent a good two hours yesterday on plantains, the remainder of the clover (which was once the primary headache) and prostrate knotweed.
Prostrate knotweed has taken over. It must be yanked out by its taproot, otherwise it'll be back to cause more trouble.

I hope spouse will return to timer-sensitive hometime once this window task is done!

We really have to go into the wilderness to find Canada thistle.

I did pull up a big basket of that knotweed today.
