Hot and sunny. You can't say we didn't get a real summer this year.
A good riding lesson. I got more clarification on what my legs need to be doing to get a better circle using just the neck rope. Improved circles. I hope I can really manifest/remember this going forward.
Good ground work/Liberty.
Lots of fun joking with everyone at the barn. Nice that everyone was in a good mood.
The contractor called to say that he is finished with the big commercial job that was taking all his time, and now maybe we can get going on a few things at our place. He is ready to order some windows with us, and work on the downstairs rooms. This still requires some back and forth with my husband, who is doing his part and talking with the contractor.
After the riding lesson I came home, let everyone out, and picked beans again in the dwindling light. I am sad to see the shorter days, and I keep forgetting that I don't have as much time in the evening to do outside work as I used to a month ago.
At the same time, there is a certain quality to the light at this time of year that is lovely in the evening.
I got another three gallon pail of yellow beans in my hasty frenzy of picking.
Today I learned that during the Cold War, the CIA launched operation codenamed 'Aedinosaur' during which they sent thousands of balloons carrying copies of George Orwell's Animal Farm into Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Hungary.
