Aug. 25th, 2022 11:21 pmToday I am grateful for:
More work being done in the basement, though I really miss sleeping.
Today was "go to town" day.
I looked into a crystal/bead store that moved to a new location.
I went to the thrift store for a while, and found several new looking (donated by a store?) kind of mesh, drapey "sweater", the kind that work nicely as layering pieces.
By then my Sweetie met up with me in town, and his way back from work, and we went to an outlet mall that we haven't been to before, to see if we could locate Blundstone boots, for riding. My faithful pair have served me for...seven or eight years? They are now coming apart. We did find a pair, and after a small fit at the price, bought them.
Then my husband pleaded exhaustion and went home, while I went onwards and got groceries.
I am very grateful for groceries, and feeling sad about inflation, bought a bit extra to donate on my way out.
I came home, and my Sweetie had let the animals out into their pastures for me, so we brought them in, unloaded everything, and changed the sheets (which I right away put into the washing machine).
He got to bed at a decent hour, so hopefully he will get a good night's sleep.
Today I learned that there were games that the Buddha reputedly would not play, because they were "a cause for negligence".
I guess he meant frivolous wastes of time?
