Nov. 26th, 2022 12:34 amToday I am grateful for:
Nice weather.
I did my normal chores and such, and went to see River.
Back to working on some new homework. Practicing things from the most recent lesson.
He did well with our homework, and when riding (still bareback with the neck rope) I worked on clarifying my cues to differentiate between side pass and shoulder yield. We made progress with that.
R was riding with me today, which is nice.
Her husband K seemed a little off today, but I feel like this had nothing to do with me. He's human after all.
I came home and addressed the filter for the turtle tank. It hasn't been working well, and I felt like I knew what was wrong with it. I dug around in the garden shed to find an old filter out there, took a part from it, and used it in the current one. It seems to be working better now.
I think I have to take Fatty to see the vet. He didn't eat well tonight. He has been on medication for a couple of years now, and I have to be careful with him. Any changes at all are noteworthy.
I learned that turkeys can sometimes reproduce asexually.
"Turkeys are notable for their ability, rare amongst higher species, to reproduce asexually. In the absence of a male, female Turkeys are known to produce fertile eggs. The individual produced is often sickly, and nearly always male. This behaviour can interfere with the incubation of eggs in Turkey farming."
