Dec. 2nd, 2022 01:48 amToday I am grateful for:
That we have a warm garage (not too warm, but above zero) for the goats. I took them inside last night, because it was cold, and only going to be colder today.
I've done what I can to make the outside animals comfortable. Extra feed, extra blankets for the older mares, and bringing the goats inside.
That I did not have to go anywhere.
I didn't do much besides chores, caring for Fatty (still about the same), and trying to rest up.
My Sweetie came home this evening, and he brought some groceries so I don't have to get any during this cold snap. Not for a few days, or more if I really don't want to go anywhere.
However things go with Fatty, I have to be happy that he came to us. In return, he has had a warm, loving home with lots of buddies, good food, and ample affection.
I've been doing lots of laundry lately.
Everyone, myself included, continues to enjoy the pictures I posted on our family page. I intend to keep doing this, a few here, a few there. There's a whole box of albums, so I won't run out of material for some time.
My Sweetie warmed up the tractor and cleared snow right after he came home. If all goes well, our friends have hired a mover to come get the sea can tomorrow.
I learned that every day oranges are actually a hybrid, created from the pomelo and the mandarin. They are not a wild fruit on their own.
They were cultivated in a region encompassing South China, NorthEast India, and Myanmar. The first mention of them in literature was a text from China written in 314 BC.
