Dec. 22nd, 2022 02:30 amToday I am grateful for:
This was the shortest day of the year. Now the days will be getting longer.
So cold today! I am grateful that my Sweetie was home to help with the chores. It felt nice to be doing them with someone's assistance.
We did put blankets on the ponies. This cold is really something.
I went to the riding barn, for the lesson indoors (not working outside with the horse). Another rider and I went to the upstairs loft above the barn that is used for all kinds of gatherings to have a session with R.
It was an odd session, that kind of turned into group therapy. Lots of talk about feelings and energy and so on. Not really what I was expecting (I thought we were going to be doing more about exercises for riders, balance, alignment, etc.). It was NICE to have basically a long girl chat, but...was it useful as a lesson? Not sure at all.
Well, I suppose it isn't likely going to happen a lot. It's kind of the thing you get from a trainer who is so very into energy and emotional work.
I guess if nothing else, I got out of the house for a while and got some social time.
I came home, went out to do a quick check on the ponies again.
My Sweetie made supper for us, and we watched a comedy called "Trainwreck" that was okay. Some funny bits.
I learned about Lake Hillier, which is in Australia. It is a bright, bubblegum pink color due to microorganisms that thrive in it's extremely salty water.
