Today I am grateful for:

Lovely, mild weather. Around -7 C.

After the cold spell is over (for now), you just don't realize the stress it created until it is past.

My Sweetie and I and Roxy went to the park down the road. We snow-shoed for an hour or so. It was beautiful. We saw some deer bedded down, back from the trail.

We came home and my husband and I talked with his sister for a while.

Then we watched "Don't Look Up", which was a very good movie that makes a very good point. It's about a comet headed straight for Earth, and the scientists can't seem to get anyone to pay attention enough to care. It is, of course, a metaphor for climate change. I can absolutely appreciate the message, but it does leave you sitting there going....so, what can I actually do about it?

I learned that there is an ATM in Buckingham Palace for the exclusive use of the Royal family.

Coincidence - I am reading a Christmas present book titled "Red Comet". It's not about a real comet, however, but about a brilliant literary light that burned too brightly and then extinguished.

There are a million books out on the topic, but this one is supposed to be the best yet. Over 1000 pages. So... time to read.
