Today I am grateful for:

Decent weather.

I went to see River, and he was in a good mood. I had a time frame to work in because there were lessons later, and that helped keep me focused on being succinct. We were not rushed, though.

We worked on softening his hind quarter yield on the ground, and that went well. I rode him to work on the gate, which we did not too badly with. I am trying to do it at a better pace, and smooth it out.

R was working with us, and we talked a bit about the very little show she is doing at the barn soon, that is more or less another fund raiser for the horse rescue, probably to cover the feed costs of the rescue horse she is fostering/training. There is a walk/trot/canter class that we could try to do with just the neck rope.

Earl seemed to be his usual self. He was yelling at me like a pirate to get attention. What a sweetheart.

I didn't do much else today. Nothing wrong with that, though.

Today I learned a bit about the Sydney Opera House.

The Opera House was formally completed in 1973, having cost $102 million.

The original cost and scheduling estimates in 1957 projected a cost of £3,500,000 ($7 million) and completion date of 26 January 1963 (Australia Day).[35] In reality, the project was completed ten years late and 1,357% over budget in real terms.
