Feb. 14th, 2023 12:16 amToday I am grateful for:
Windy, but still decent temperatures.
A short phone conversation with my Mom. She wasn't worried about missing supper this time, which was nice. I talked to one of the care givers to confirm that she got the night gowns I ordered. I am relieved, as I hadn't ordered anything from this company before.
My Sweetie was able to get the local mechanic to fix his car window (It had fallen down into the door itself, he got it back up, but it needed to be seated properly to open and close).
He also did some painting on trim pieces.
I went to town for pottery.
I picked up some hay cubes and dog food first.
There were some people at pottery tonight, so it was fun and social. I trimmed and carved on a bowl and threw a new vase-type vessel. One bowl came back looking very good, and two mugs came back with pin holes. They were the same glaze group as the two bowls that had pin holes last week, and I need to see if they can maybe be fixed.
A very nice evening.
Then I got some groceries, and I wasn't too tired out by it all. I am very grateful to be able to buy groceries, and be able to pick things sometimes just because it might be nice to try it.
I came home and put everything away.
I learned that child labor is still a thing in Quebec (think kids bagging groceries, not so much kids working in sweat shops or as chimney sweeps).
