Today I am grateful for:

Nice weather still.

The opportunity to let the goats and ponies out into their bigger pasture for a while to run around.

That I talked with my brother T. He had a lot of positive things to say about his son, and it's nice to talk with someone who still has good things in their life.

I did go for a walk with Roxy, and I once again appreciate what a good dog she is. We came across one of the dogs from the last walk that was chained up. This time the (very obviously alcoholic) owner was walking it, and it was losing it's mind at us. I just walked away by leaving the sidewalk and giving him a wide berth, hoping that he could actually hold the dog. The whole time he was just yelling at the dog "what is wrong with you?". Yes, that usually does the trick, doesn't it?

Anyhow, the act of walking was nice.

I came home, had a bath, and read for a while.

I learned about Ludvig Nobel, brother of Alfred Nobel (founder of the Nobel Prize) was a major oil developer in Baku, Azerbaijan. He created the first oil tanker ship, overcoming obstacles like avoiding fires on board, proper venting, heat expansion and balancing the ship. He refused to patent this.

Dogs deserve kind and gentle owners, who see them as family and companions. The abovementioned fellow is a doink.
