Today I am grateful for:

A pleasant day temperature wise. We are expecting a cold snap though.

The sweet company of the animals. The cats especially, are very loving creatures, and Roxy is always in a good mood and makes doing chores feel like camaraderie.

I went to see River, and the Sunday rider was there. We chatted for a while. R was there briefly as well.

River was pretty sleepy today, but did well enough on our groundwork/Liberty. He got a little more woken up when I rode, but we did okay. I was trying one of the neck ropes I made, and I think that threw him off because it is not as stiff as the one R lets me use.

It was overall a good session, with out feeling like I "had" to get something done with him.

It started snowing when I was leaving the barn, and it was just about white out conditions in one direction because the wind was driving it right towards me. I had to drive pretty slowly, and was VERY cautious with oncoming traffic. At least everyone was slowing down and being careful. There wasn't a LOT of traffic, and I'm glad I wasn't caught in town.

I came home, happy to have made it safely, and had a nap.

I learned that if you cut 2 different sponges up, disaggregate them (push them through a sieve), and mix the 2 cell-slurries together - the sponge cells reassociate with their own cells, but not cells of the other species. This is being studied to understand tissue repair and transplant rejection.

That is creepy. So, it's like you can put them in a blender and the cells will find their old gang. Are the sponges considered "dead" if you put them in a blender? Are they the same sponge if the cells find each other again?
