Today I am grateful for:

Lovely temperature, and lots of sun.

Last night when I did chores, the sky was lit up with AMAZING northern lights. I woke my Sweetie up (I do chores pretty late) and he came outside and we watched them together for a while. So beautiful.

My Sweetie went back to work today.

I went to town for pottery.

I picked up some hay cubes first, then went to the studio. There were other people around.

It was fun, though the woman I talk to a lot there seems to make a lot out of my "outrageous" sense of humor. I'm not always sure if people really think I'm funny, or a little shocked? I am never really sure what others make of me, and if they're comfortable.

I trimmed one piece, and threw another.

After pottery I got groceries. I didn't need a huge amount, but it is good to stay ahead of the game. I am always grateful to be able to buy food.

Today I learned that in places where bourbon is produced and stored, the ethanol that escapes the barrels during storage causes black fungus to grow everywhere. The houses, trees, and just about everything in towns where the bourbon is made are coated in it.

What colour were the Northern Lights? If we get them here (and it is rarely), the lights are mint green and white and rather muted.

These were green, but quite bright. I have seen ones that were a little pinkish before other times.

I know that in some places the colors are more varied.

I always wanted to see Northern Lights. Sadly, we are far too far south for it. I hope they were magnificent to see.

These certainly were. I see them a few times every winter, as I go out and do chores at night.

The Northern Lights are definitely on my "things to see" list, though I know you can't exactly plan a viewing.
