Mar. 7th, 2023 12:09 amToday I am grateful for:
A decent night's sleep, and waking from a positive dream. It makes quite a difference to how your day begins if you can at least wake up and have a good dream in your head.
Trainwreck texted that she could talk today, and I just did not respond. I didn't want to ruin any hope I had that I could have a good day. I have had far too many days lately ruined the minute I am talking with her.
I went to town for pottery. I enjoyed talking with people, joking around as well just conversation.
The once dog walking friend was not there, and it was interesting because I felt like the flow of the conversation was more dynamic and open to change, and not so one-sided. The last two times when she was there, the conversation was tightly controlled by her most of the time, and it stayed firmly locked onto topics that she was an authority upon.
Tonight I actually heard more from the other women present, and the direction of the conversation moved from one topic to another as people shifted their focus. No one was trying to dominate.
I trimmed one piece, and did some waxing (you wax the bottoms so that they remain free of glaze) of items that I will glaze next time.
Then I got groceries, and I am grateful for this.
I learned that raccoons have become an invasive species in Japan. This is mainly because of a children's book about a beloved pet that became an anime series. It featured an adorable pet raccoon that was eventually released into the wild. Japanese people began importing raccoons...and releasing them into the wild. In Japan, where they don't belong.
