Mar. 9th, 2023 10:32 pmToday I am grateful for:
Having my husband coming home to look forward to.
It was otherwise another fairly cold and windy day.
I still managed to spend some time with the goats and ponies since I didn't need to go anywhere. I did let them out into the bigger pasture area to run around for a while.
I picked up a sled full of manure.
I did the dishes, changed the sheets, the usual tidying up.
When my Sweetie came home we watched "The Banshees of Inisherin", which was interesting enough and well acted, but kind of falls into that puzzling drama of sadness that is tough to enjoy. A quote by Colin Farrell helped me understand it a bit, something along the lines of how his character started out as happy go lucky, but by the end of the movie he was willing to believe that violence had a place in the world.
Well, okay. I get it, but it's still not an easy idea to sit with.
I learned that Kentucky Bluegrass, a common grass planted in suburban lawns in the North America, is not from Kentucky, and not even native to North America. It comes from Europe, North Asia, and Northern Africa and was imported by the Spanish Empire.
