Today I am grateful for:

Decent weather. Some bits of ground are visible.

I took Roxy outside for a while, gently, on the leash. She would have been happy to run around.

It has been a week now since her surgery, and we are finished with the medications she was given.

I spoke with Mom on the phone briefly. She seemed to be in good spirits. It's pretty hard to talk WITH her, you more or less tell her how things are going, and she listens. She doesn't really have news from her end, as I don't think she remembers anything from her visitors and other phone calls.

I still have the congestion today, but I don't notice it too much until I try to sleep, then I end up not being able to breathe properly, and when I stand up all of my sinuses try to drain at once... moistly.

I went to see River, and that went well. He did well with our turn on the haunches; I hope one day not to have to make this such a focus EVERY TIME I SEE HIM.

We worked on the upcoming pattern.

I had a new playlist, so that was fun.

I came home and tried to nap (see congestion and boogers).

I learned that an amateur archaeologist discovered European cave paintings used a proto-writing system meant to convey the gestation period of the various animals they painted by using dots to indicate the lunar cycle.
