gottawonderAlthough today was kind of boring (several straight days of very cold weather, so not getting outside very much, and not riding River), there can be a lot worse in life than a boring day.
Again, for having a license and a car to drive. Having the ability to drive to town and get groceries and run errands is very meaningful to me.
Getting just a few groceries, I didn't need much. I ran into a guy I met once, likely a couple of years ago, who introduced himself to me at the thrift store. He is a cross-dresser (trans?) man, who was dressed as a man both times (but let it be known that he is a supporter of the LBGTQ community), but for some reason he really stuck in my mind. I said hi, and we exchanged pleasantries (I doubt he remembered me), but I can't help but think I'll see him again. I truly admire his forthrightness. I've also always been fascinated by men who cross dress.
Finding some very nice vanilla based perfume, for a reasonable price. I've been CRAVING vanilla perfume for a few weeks. Probably something to do with the cold, and moods.
Spending some time at the pottery studio. I didn't make anything because we are low on clay, so I recycled some (will likely be ready to use in a few days), and did some inventory/cleaning of the bits and pieces of clay we have in various bags etc. and consolidated things.
Enjoying YouTube, and I've been addicted to the videos put out by a man in Edmonton who owns an antique/collectible store. He bought a hoarder house, and did a whole series about cleaning it out, and he found all kinds of neat things. He goes to auctions, buys unopened trunks, storage units, and so on, and makes videos of everything. It's fascinating. His store is in Edmonton, and my sweetie and I are planning to visit.
For the barn friend who has been helping me feed River. I feel good knowing that he's getting the extra feed, and it's an amazing thing to find a human being who can be so co-operative. If more people could be like this, imagine what we could accomplish.
