Lovely weather.
Getting a card in the mail for Mom's birthday.
Feeling a bit better today. Still a bit tired, but better. Still congested, but not as bad.
I went to see River, and it was just us today, no Sunday rider (she was likely there and gone already).
River did well. Good on the turn on the haunches, the groundwork, the pattern practice.
We need to work on getting him to back up straight away from the wall.
I really enjoyed working with the music today. It adds a lot of energy to our sessions, and again, you don't have that feeling of being "alone".
R came back from doing a clinic as I was finishing up, so I helped her unload her equipment.
K was working on the water boiler in the barn that heats part of it, and provides R with hot water for her dog grooming business. He looked exhausted, and it isn't fixed, but he knows what's wrong and they need to get some parts.
I came home and read/napped for a while. So nice to curl up with the kitties, and with Roxy on her new bed.
I learned that a work of art exists in the form of public service. In 2001, Richard Ankrom installed a fake freeway sign in downtown L.A. in order to fix a real problem for commuters. The sign is now long gone, but 20 years later, the stunt remains etched into the soul of the city.
