As I said in my journal entry, there are just days where there is a lot of beauty, for whatever reason. Today felt like one of those days. Everyone seemed to be giving off something beautiful.

Or, maybe I was able to see it.

By love, or beauty, this showed in many ways.

I saw some dandelions in the flower bed at the vet clinic, and I am one of those people who actually think they are beautiful. They are one of the first things that bloom in the spring.

I saw genuine happiness on the veterinarian's face over Roxy, and her improvement, and the news that the other lumps were just fat. I feel like she is genuinely emotionally invested in Roxy's well=being.

The other people at the vet clinic were very warm towards Roxy, and all I felt and saw was how all of us were there for the love of our animals. One lady talked with me for a while after petting Roxy, and when her kitty came out in a carrier, we talked about how beautiful her cat was.

There was a very happy teen girl holding her young cat. Her love beamed out.

A woman I chatted with before my appointment was there to pick up the family cat from her spay surgery, and it's her daughter's beloved cat that she wanted for her birthday.

A big guy came in with an absolutely adorable little dog he nicknamed "Piggy" because of her funny grunts.

A young couple came out of the examination room with their robust Boxer, and everyone was laughing.

The whole staff were staying late to finish up some paper work and handing out medications and so on, I was there a little past closing because of the test for the fatty deposits that they do on the premises. I have been there a bit past closing the last couple of times, and I see that every time, they are actually there long past closing, trying to take care of everyone. It's more than a job; they all know they're helping people.

When I paid my bill, I joked about how they "never get to leave on time", but I did it so they knew that I saw their dedication.

When I went to the tack store, the woman was full of pride because this was HER store, and she'd had a good week. Word is getting out, and she's doing well with sales.

Walking at the man-made lake, I saw so much love. Two women with their beautiful little kids playing on the equipment. One little boy grinned and started running to hug Roxy, and his Mom laughed and caught him. I didn't want Roxy to knock him over, but she saw the cone and recognized that Roxy was healing.

I talked with a guy who was cutting some pussy willows for an arrangement. You could tell he was a hippy/-granola kind of guy, and he seemed so earnest. It was nice to see how excited he was about Spring.

I saw an older couple who stopped to talk. It became apparent that the husband had memory issues, as he asked the same questions about Roxy a few times, then his wife tugged on his sleeve so he would come with her and keep walking. He looked otherwise healthy and cared for. She was taking good care of him.

A beautiful little squirrel climbed to a limb about face level with me, and let me look at him for a while.

We surprised a small beaver (or a musk rat?) at the water's edge.

I had a fun exchange with the woman at the checkout for Winner's, about how much she loved this one shade of pink eye shadow from MAC, and how she was kind of afraid to use it because it was "too pretty". I told her just to use it, there's no point in "saving" our treasures. They're meant to be enjoyed.

When I was getting groceries, something as simple as "how are you" from the clerk and I asked her sincerely how she was doing, and I think she was a bit surprised.

I had a hilarious exchange with a woman just behind me in line, as she made a pun about mushrooms being "a fun guy" and I instantly recognized in her a shared love for "six year old jokes". So we each told one.

Mine: "Where did Napoleon keep his armies?" ... "In his sleevies".

Hers: "Where does a pirate Captain keep his buccaneers?"..."Under his buccan hat".

Every now and then I get a day like this, and it really is something.
