Today I am grateful for:

Lovely sunny weather.

Finally a good, meaty phone conversation with Sister E. She's been too busy to talk a lot lately. She chose to put a cat down that had a lot of never-ending health issues. Mostly because it had Herpes, which lowers the immune system, so it had constant issues with it's eyes, ear infections, and was scratching at his head so badly that it was bloody. She tried all winter to help the eye issues and so on, and it was just ongoing vet bills, medications, no improvement, and suffering for the cat.

She feels pretty overwhelmed with her husband's health issues, her MIL's health issues, trying to move, and on and on.

I really feel for her, as she doesn't seem to have anyone helping HER. She's trying to hold everything together by herself, mostly.

I have a whole other post about my anger about the woman trying to ooze some doinkery at me. I will do my best to end that shit RIGHT THERE.

Everywhere I look there is more work that needs doing, and it's an overwhelming feeling. I try to focus on just a few things each day, but it's hard.

I was able to let the ponies/goats out into their bigger pasture, and they seemed very happy about that.

Little Brownie (goat) is so adorable and friendly. She likes to show her affection by rubbing herself on my legs and begging for scritchies.

It's been very nice to allow Roxy some freedom to roam again when I'm outside.

I've been hearing frogs singing, which I love to hear.

I picked up a wheel barrow load of pony manure and took it to the compost pile. I picked more after that, too.

I cleared some more debris and old grass out of the perennial bed, and took a wheel barrow load of finished compost over to the vegetable garden.

Then I fixed the holes in some big fabric bags that I use to store recycling, until I can get it to a depot, and put all the current recycling materials from the house in them and took them out to the shed where they await transport.

Then I cut down a bunch of little poplar saplings that were coming up in the dog run, and took them to the goats.

I changed the cat litter.

My Sweetie went for his first outside bike ride of the season, with some other people from work. Good for him. He's building a team to be in the Multiple Sclerosis bike ride that he tries to do every year, and teams work together to get sponsors.

The circumference of the Earth is about 24,855 miles.

The total length of the Great Wall of China, if it were straight, and all of the various offshoots put end to end, are now with modern tools determined to be 13,170.70 miles long, or roughly half of the Earth's circumference.
