Today I am grateful for:

Still lovely weather, though it is now getting to where we could use some rain.

Trying to actually get something done today, though it was a late start to do anything productive.

I changed the sheets, did some laundry and folded and put away. I vacuumed the rug in the living room and changed the cat litter.

I worked on the pantry, as I've been stashing things in there that probably need to be somewhere else. I didn't get rid of anything, but put a few things away and tidied.

I took the recycling from the house out to the shed. Hopefully this weekend we can address the winter's stock pile of recycling that needs to go to the depot (we don't have pick up out here, we have to take it into town ourselves).

I spent some time talking with my nephew, TW's son, about her situation again.

I hung out with the goats and ponies for a while in the bigger pasture.

When my Sweetie came home from work, we talked about a car he might buy. His current car is really getting to the end of it's useful life. He's driven it for about 14 years, and it was not new then. It's time to replace it, because sooner or later it will be needing more and more work, and he needs something reliable because he drives so much to get back and forth to his job locations.

In the past, he has taken my car to work while his car has been in the shop, and that leave me driving our truck, which isn't the end of the world, but it takes a lot more fuel.

Anyhow, we've been talking about this for a while, he's been test driving some cars over the last couple of months, and researching them, and he has found one he likes. It is used too, but a LOT newer than what he's driving.

He brought burritos from town, so we sat outside and ate those, since it was so nice outside.

Then we did a bit of work in the garden, laying down cardboard boxes and hay to mulch a walking path between trellises. I raked up more grass out of flower beds and dumped it in the bush, and cut down more saplings growing right against the garden shed.

Then we went inside, my Sweetie went to bed and I watched "The Great Escape" (with Steve McQueen). It's based on true events.

I learned about Bold Lane Car Park, considered to be one of the most secure places in the world alongside places like Area 51 and Fort Knox.

It's hard to say if that's really true, after all part of why no one tries THAT HARD to get in, is because it is just a car park, not a place holding billions of dollars or national secrets.

Anyhow, it might be fair to say that it is perhaps the world's most secure car park?
