May. 11th, 2023 10:50 pmToday I am grateful for:
A day to be at home.
Kind of frustrating, as it became one of those days where everything I tried to do was thwarted in some way.
The grass is growing, but there is something amiss with the battery in the ride on lawn mower, so at some point I will have to get my husband to talk me through jumping it. Yay.
I wanted to change the tires on a small wagon that goes behind the lawn mower, but the replacement tires won't work. The hub is wrong. We need to buy different tires now.
As I was going to work in the garden, it stormed like crazy, hailed for a while, and likely dumped a half an inch of rain in about an hour. Which is still good news.
FINALLY I got one "progress" thing done, which was to make an area inside the pony/goat pen that only the goats could get into. Known as a "creep" (often used to give baby animals extra feed and minerals separate from the moms). I am using it to give the goats "goat specific" minerals so that the ponies don't eat it.
The biopsy I got done on Sasha a while ago points at maybe a deficiency, so I am trying to give them greater access to their minerals.
I basically built a barrier/fence that only the goats can duck under, and the mineral are inside in a dish.
Well, if that's the only truly useful thing I do today, then that's not bad.
I did dig up some dandelions in the garden.
I learned that mangoes are in the poison ivy family, and have compounds in their skin that can give some people rashes.

Date: 2023-05-12 08:02 pm (UTC)It should have been good to go when he put it back into the mower (he charged it).
I will have to jump it, and see if it holds enough charge to start after that, or maybe it's ruined.
It's pretty much a new battery, so it shouldn't be doing this.
