Today I am grateful for:

Beautiful summer weather again.

Ursula seems to be moving a little better, though the vet said that it will take several weeks to see the improvement from the injection as it lubricates the joint.

I decided to do some more digging where I want to plant shrubs. There are several plants, and that spot is heavy clay, so I'm digging a really big hole for them that will be filled with top soil.

I took four big garden cart loads of clay out of there, and unloaded it by the barn where we need clay.

Then I went to see River.

I'm still finding more granola bar wrappers out there.

We did a bit of work on the Liberty circles in the indoor arena, working on "out" and "in", and impulsion.

Then we got to work on the obstacles set up for the barn show this weekend. We ran through that a couple of times.

The young woman with lots of challenges was there for her lesson, and she took her pony through the course as well, by herself for the most part. This is a pretty big accomplishment!

Then I worked on getting the correct lead in the canter to the right (from a walk) a few times.

River's breathing was pretty good today, considering it was fairly hot.

I came home, let everyone out for a while, and mowed for about an hour.

I learned that "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler is actually about vampires in love.
