Today I am grateful for:

Our house arrived, and in good shape, and safely. It was an interesting thing to watch the house come into our driveway on a trailer, then be leveled onto blocks. It is now sitting in our driveway (they were going to put it on an open lawn area, but it's too soft with all the rain. Luckily, there's room for most of it on the gravel driveway).

The animals were not spooked by all the activity.

It was very interesting to walk around inside the new to us house, and look out the windows and see our yard (not the other yard, where we first looked at the house).

The people moving our house were very professional and did not ruin our yard or make a mess.

My sweetie got an electrician to come and look at things, to begin connecting the new house so we can get a temporary occupancy license. He had some good suggestions for some of the changes we need to make later.

My sweetie and I made good progress in putting the fence back up (that we took down to make room for the house). We sort of half pounded the posts back into their old holes, then used the tractor bucket to push them in, and that worked very well. We have to put the gate back up and fix some of the page wire a bit, but we got a lot done today.

A good phone conversation with my Mom, and a good phone conversation with a friend of ours. We hadn't been in touch with this friend for awhile, and she didn't know about the house or the ponies, so she's interested in coming to visit soon and see everything.

For good writers of good books. I just started another book by Becky Chambers, and I'm enjoying it. I loved her other two books. I am really hoping she has a long and prolific career writing more good books.
